3 Things To Add To Your Pets Diet to Boost Health

by Lori Blauert

1. Raw Green Tripe

Raw Green Tripe is the stomach of grass eating animals such as a cow, lamb or goat. The stomach of these animals is packed full of gastric juices, amino acids and other digestive enzymes. The "friendly" bacteria in green tripe is essential to maintaining your pet's healthy immune system. Tripe is removed from almost all commercial raw diets. This is why it is very important to supplement green tripe in your pets diet. Keep in mind that not all tripe is the same. Make sure you look for Raw "Green" Tripe...raw being uncooked and green meaning uncleaned. Tripe from the grocery store has been cleaned, scalded and bleached. It has almost no nutritional value for the canine.

Our tripe from is from 100% organic and grass-fed animals that are USDA inspected. They are antibiotic free and no hormones added.

2. Raw Goat Milk

Raw goat milk is the most perfect substitution for mothers milk for orphaned kittens and puppies. Any adult or senior dog or cat can benefit from drinking raw goat milk. Most animals love the taste and for picky eaters or sick animals it is an excellent source of nutrients. To learn about the many benefits of raw goat milk click here.

We carry a local raw goat milk from Old Wagon Dairy, a small family run dairy farm in Escondido. We also carry Primal and Answer's Raw Goat Milk and Steve's Goat Milk Yogurt.

3. Coconut Oil

There are so many uses and benefits of coconut oil that it is hard to list them all. Coconut oil is a very nutritious food. It has anti-microbial properties and can fight off infections from bacteria, viruses, fungus and more. It can improve your pets health, metabolism, skin, teeth, and digestive health. It can also be applied topically to hot spots, dry cracked paws and other skin infections.
